Okay, these books didn’t arrive in my mailbox, so I supposed I’m kind of cheating. But they did find their way into my home, via the library sale, and I had to tell you about the bounty I found. So here goes:

Midwives by Chris Bohjalian

Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz
The Known World by Edward P. Jones
Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha by Roddy Doyle

The Pilot’s Wife by Anita Shreve
A Certain Justice by P.D. James
The House of Sand and Fog by Andre Dubus III

Amy and Isabelle by Elizabeth Strout
Isabel’s Daughter by Judith R. Hendricks

I got all eleven books for $1! Can’t beat that. And I’m not counting these toward me purchase limit for the year.

$1…that’s crazy talk! What great books. I would have picked up the P.D. James just for the cover. Midwives is a great book and I liked Amy and Isabelle. Enjoy.

Kathy - I wish I could have stuck it out longer - there were probably a lot of other great titles there, but my nose was protesting.

Jess - I really liked My Sister’s Keeper, too - but I’ve enjoyed a couple more of hers, as well. Can’t remember the titles - the one about the school shooting was very good.

Joy - so do I!

Lezlie - Bohjalian’s a new author to me.

Serena - glad to hear positive things about some of the titles!

Book Psmith - I loved Strout’s Abide With Me and have been meaning to read another by her.

Blodeuedd - I wish they did it more often!

Sandy - I’ll keep that in mind and have lots of kleenex and chocolate handy.
