The Sunday Salon - January 11, 2009
It’s been a good reading week, although one with less actual reading time than I had during our Christmas break from homeschooling. I had good excuses to sit and do nothing much but read: back spasms and stomach flu. The back’s still sore, but the flu’s gone, and the school schedule will start whether I’m ready for it or not.
This week, I finished and reviewed Kate Morton’s The House at Riverton. My Booking Through Thursday was about favorite reads of 2008, and I also posted some bookish links.
I’m currently reading a whole slew of books: O Jerusalem by Laurie R. King; Gossamer by Lois Lowry; Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss; Never Say Diet by Chantel Hobbs; and Collected Poems by Donald Justice. I’m not very far into any of them, although I think the diet book will be a quick read - as will Gossamer, being fairly short middle grade fiction.
What are you reading this Sunday?

I joined Sunday Salon a while back. Can you tell me where I leave my link? I have this page: http://dhamel.typepad.com/sundaysalon/
but cannot find the place we are to leave the link to our post. Thank you in advance for your help.
You are reading some great books and I am kind of slacking!
Also with plenty of time on my hands, I created a meme and tagged you:
I have been lazy, hence I make excuses”
Sandra - I left an answer at your blog.
Gautami - I saw the tag last night - looks like a good one! I will post it soon.
Oh I love having a bunch of books going on… Right now I’m in the middle of three but the only problem is that they are all so good it’s hard to put down one over the other. Enjoy your books. Would love to hear more about the Donald Justice book.
Iliana - I will be posting a poem or two soon - I’m finding much to like there.
