These books are amazing and beautiful, and as a homeschooling mom who loves alphabet books, I couldn’t be more thrilled! Thanks again, Amanda.

I was also lucky enough to win a copy of The Godmother by Carrie Adams from the 24/8 Book Club. It looks like a fun read. Thanks, Falise!

Those Alphabet books look great. And I think The Godmother would interest me. I’ll watch for your review of it. My Mailbox Monday is up.

We have a few of the alphabet books. We’ve been trying to get the ones for the states where we were all born and or grew up.

I think you’ll love ‘The Godmother’. It’s a wonderful book, holds a lot of surprises. It ended up on my most favorite books’ list for 2008.

Sandra - Cool - I’ll stop by and check yours out.

Jeanette - I’d love to have a complete collection - they’re such gorgeous books.

Lilly - I’m glad you liked it so much - now I’m really looking forward to it!

Those alphabet books look lovely.. and I look forward to a review on The Godmother.

I never win anything, but I did get two books that came in from Amazon:

God Said Yes easy read, but so-so true story. I can’t really put my finger on it, but it wasn’t very fulfilling - kinda like reading the covers of The National Inquirer in the grocery line. Yeah, I learned something about someone, but what did I really gain from it??

Selected Writings of Maximus the Confessor This one is a bit denser :) and I know I won’t be able to read it in one sitting… must be chewed very slowly.

Currently, I’m trying to wait patiently for the library to deliver about 4 books to my local branch.

Deb - I have been pretty lucky lately, and won quite a few books in blog giveaways! Which is nice, since I made a commitment not to purchase more than 20 books in 2009.
