Recent movies - HSM3 & Get Smart
Natalie and I went to see High School Musical 3: Senior Year Saturday night, and we both loved it. I was skeptical that it could be as good as the first two, but I actually think it was even better. Maybe because the kids have grown into their roles; maybe because they had a bigger budget. I don’t know, but it was a lot of fun, and we smiled, laughed, and tapped our toes all the way through.
Kevin and I watched Get Smart on DVD the other night, and then I watched it again with the kids. I was in the mood for a really funny movie that would make me laugh, and this fit the bill. Stevel Carell’s deadpan humor is perfect for Agent Maxwell Smart, and he and Anne Hathaway played off each other very well.
The funniest bit, though, was the Rock and the stapler. Laughed till I snorted.
Anyone see some good movies lately?

I wanted to see “Get Smart.” I’ll have to get that on On Demand. I haven’t seen any new movies lately. I don’t go to the movie theater very often because it’s so expensive. I catch movies on TV.
Lois Lane - I don’t go to the theater very often either - with four kids, it’s a killer! I took my daughter as a special mom-daughter outing. I also have three sons, and she sometimes gets overwhelmed with all the boy stuff.
My daughter wants to see the High School Musical movies. I’ll have to get them through Blockbuster cause I am not sitting through one in a theater…lol!
J. Kaye - I’m betting you’ll like them more than you think you will.
I really enjoyed Get Smart, but haven’t seen any of the High School Musical movies. Eventually, I’ll get them through Blockbuster, too.
Joy - I’m hoping they make a sequel to Get Smart. We need more movies that are truly funny without being raunchy.
