September Reading Wrap-Up
I read eight books in September. Not a bad number in itself, but when compared to 11 in August and and 12 in July…. I definitely have more reading time when we’re not homeschooling.
Here are the books I finished last month. (So weird to think that September is “last month” already!)

Capote in Kansas: A Ghost Story by Kim Powers.
I really enjoyed this book, and I can’t wait to post my review for the book tour. It will go up on October 17th. Mr. Powers was gracious enough to answer a ton of questions I had for him after I read the book, and sent me a long e-mail answering all of them in detail, so be sure to check back for that review.

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris
I listened to this on audiobook, and found it very funny. I just checked out another collection of Sedaris’s essays on audio.

Waiting for Normal by Leslie Connor
Another audiobook - you can read my review here.

The High-Tech Knight: Book 2 in The Adventures of Conrad Stargard by Leo Frankowski
A fun sci-fi read.

The Heretic’s Daughter by Kathleen Kent
A fantastic book - my review.

The Pacific and Other Stories by Mark Helprin
This was a rather uneven collection of short stories. I liked some very much; others were just okay. The actor who read the stories for the audiobook was incredible, though, doing many different accents easily.

The Penderwicks by Jeanne Birdsall
Perfect read-aloud - my review.
A five-star read - my review.
What great books did you read in September?

Ladytink - I have Skinny Dip saved on my computer to listen to soon. I’ve never read any of his work before, so I’m curious to see what he’s like.
